Saif Chooses Deepika Over Girlfriend Kareena!
My oh my! I always thought that love spun the world round lots more than money, honey. But methinks that paisa scores higher on an actor/producer's meter. So our current favourite love-story, of Saif and Kareena continues sighfully, but Screech! Halt! Hold it a bit. When it came to casting a heroine for his Home Company as producer, Saifu chose Deepika Padukone over Bebo. And of course, the hero will be our Chhote Nawab himself. Now, knowing Kareena and her fiery temperament, I'm sure there weer fireworks at home. But Saifu must've explained that moolah is more important than pyar. So Deepika it is folks. As for the fireworks, ignore the 4th of July and Diwali. It's Bebo-watching time.

Sanjay Dutt may walk free today!
December is upon us and yet Mumbai steams in a toxic mix of pollution and heat. So spare a thought for poor Sanjay Dutt - in a small cell in Yeravada jail, dark and sweaty. But now for the good news. I hear that he may walk free today. The moment the Supreme Court release orders granting bail reach the jail authorities. And he'll stay out until the final final judgement. Whew! that is good tidings for all 'Munnabhai' lovers (now the sequel can be made). But it also brought me a flash of the first time, years ago, when he was imprisoned. Sitting there, writing letters of passion to all his friends and colleageus and family. This time round he's been reading - Spirituality books, if you must know. Well! It'll sure make him a finer gent than he already is na?

SRK & Farah go to Manoj Kumar's house for 'chai' and 'shanti'!
Hyuk, hyuk darlings. Our veteran actor Manoj Kumar sure is geting his moment in the sun. So much so, I'm sure he's tanned already. Like he promised, Shah Rukh Khan along with his director Farah Khan landed up at Bharat bhai's house late today evening to apologize in person. We don't know whether they were served chai, coffee or 'tara RUM pum pum', but the moment they'd chatted amicably and left, Manu used his itchy trigger finger on his fast dial again and called the media to inform them all of the 'developments'. Now TV and press are going gaga fitting that news in. Actually, whatever you say, hats off to Manoj. To have today's wily media eating out of his hand (despite never having dealt with them in his heydays) is no mean achievement. He's not the 'Kranti' star for nothing na? As SRK would say 'Hey Bharat'!
Was SRK in the right or Manoj Kumar? You decide!
Ho hum now dearies. What's with our ol' time star Manoj Kumar? He's taken the 'spoof' on him in Om Shanti Om rather to his dear patriotic heart (remember Bharat Kumar?). he spewed venom on Shah Rukh Khan and Farah Khan on National TV, calling them 'anti national' even because they'd 'dared' to spoof a patriotic hero (read: himself). he went ballistic on TV, calling them names, slurring a bit (that couldn't be old age now could it?) at 'high' noon. Of course, the starved for bitter bytes TV men lapped it up like hungry hyenas. But here's the twist ... the moment SRK called Manoj bhai to apologize, he was sweetness personified. "Yeh Media waalon ke bhadkave mein mat aana? ... Come and have chai with me ..." he said. It was funny, 'coz in the old days you could deny what you'd said in print. But with his full face (well, partially covered, eh?) on TV lashing out Kumar bhai can't say it was yet another 'double' used by the 'desh drohi TV wallahs' na? Tch. tch!

To tell you 'who's sipping champagne from who's glass, in my usual style - irreverent, newsy and gossipy too - mostly first hand (just like the Armanis we wear huh?).
So log on for your daily dose - or Miss Out at your own risk.
